Every checkable reference in this series — grave and panel numbers, archive catalogue numbers, telegram numbers, photo credits — is verified against the published record before a part goes live. Photographs are real and public-domain or rights-cleared, sourced primarily from NARA, the Library of Congress, and Wikimedia Commons, each with a full credit line at the point of use. The "Issued Life" device — following one real, documented person through a part — is adapted from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum's identity-card exhibit. Where the archive goes silent, this series says so rather than filling the gap.
